Popocatepetl

I have made it to my first check point, Popocatepetl, Puebla, Mexico. It is an active volcano, it is southeast of Mexico City. it is located in the coordinates 19 degrees N, and 98 degrees W. I was with my friend Carlos, he is a scientist in Mexico and he told me about the volcano he also answered a question that i had for years, how come the volcano is in the middle of Mexico? He said that it was because the oceanic plate was under the continental plate, and that the oceanic plate was melting and the magma was going to the surface. This is a convergent subduction.

  1. I think that this is a great character. The only thing is that you need to get more scientific information in this blog entry.
